Market Update – Coin and Currency Blog
Beware of these out-of-town buyers setting up at local hotels claiming to pay the most for your coins. They’re worth a lot more than what most of these buyers will pay. Don’t be fooled by the urgency and deception of their ads. I know that one weekend I was paying 30 times face value for pre-1965 silver coins while they were paying 20 times face when silver was $48+ (that’s 10X more). They may be here for the weekend, but I’m always here! No one advertising to buy your valuables should ever ask what you want for them. They should tell you what they’ll pay you for them. It’s their way of avoiding paying you too much for them, as well as judging your knowledge of the item(s). Always GET A SECOND OPINION FROM A LOCAL DEALER!!!
I offer both timely and professional service from a LOCAL HAMBURG DEALER and long-time resident who is well respected not only locally but also nationally within the numismatic community. I’m buying old silver and gold coins and gold jewelry as well as U.S. currency. I’m a life member of the American Numismatic Association & Society of Silver Dollar Collectors, and a member of FUN, CSNS, BNA, NGC, GSNA, and PCGS. I’m a strong buyer of 1964 and earlier U.S. half dollars, quarters and dimes as well as all silver dollars 1935 and before. I also buy U.S. Mint products and all key date gold, silver and copper coins, Kennedy halves 1965-1970, and sterling. TOP PRICES PAID!!
